SOWING INSTRUCTIONS
Depth:
Surface sow and firm lightly; light aids germination.

Starting Indoors:
Recommended. Sow indoors in pots 6-8 weeks before last frost. Cover with a sprinkling of vermiculite and keep at 65-75°F.
Starting Outdoors:
Direct sow at last frost date.

Once nighttime temperatures remain above 50°F.
PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
Rose everlasting, also known as Helipterum, can be sown outdoors in a warm position in containers, borders, and cutting gardens. The papery blooms excel in fresh-cut or dried arrangements when cut before the flowers expand fully. Heat tolerant, they do well in freely draining soils. Avoid clay soils that are poorly drained.

Harvest when the bottom 2-4 layers of petals have unfolded but before flowers have completely opened. Hang to dry.
