SOWING INSTRUCTIONS
Depth:
Surface sow and press lightly into soil.
Seed To Bloom:
12-14 weeks
Starting Indoors:
Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before setting out after frost. Keep at 70-75°F.
Starting Outdoors:
Direct sow after last frost.
PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
A small but mighty native flower that is found blooming cheerfully in dry rocky nooks under the Texas sun. It's at the top of our list for containers and along pebbly garden paths, where it blooms uncomplainingly and never fails to please. Shear lightly if bloom slows for another flush of bloom into late fall.
Watering Details:
About 1" per week, though it will tolerate drought once established.
Soil pH:
Prefers neutral to slightly alkaline. If soil is especially acidic, add a bit of lime prior to setting in the ground.
Fertilizer:
If soil is poor, mix in a few inches of compost prior to planting.
Diseases & Pests:
No major pests or diseases.
