Sunflower Seeds

Sunflower's full heads of bloom follow the sun, an attribute called heliotropism. Plant sunflowers in a sun-filled spot, spaced well apart, in back borders in informal cottage gardens, at the edge of vegetable gardens, or as a leafy and flower-filled hedge. Sunflowers are easy to grow, and branching varieties provide a never-ending supply of fresh flowers for bouquets. Later in the season, the seedheads become a natural bird feeding station.
