Poppy Annual Plants
Poppies are hardy annuals and are tolerant of cold temperatures. Seeds germinate best in cool soil and should be sown outdoors in late fall or earliest spring. They prefer fertile, well-drained soil and sunny conditions. Mix seeds with clean sand and sprinkle on the soil, tamping in for good contact of seed and soil. Be sure to thin early for vigorous plants and a sea of bloom.
