Wallflower is variously described as an annual, biennial, or short-lived perennial. Start early indoors, grow cool, 50°F once fully germinated, and transplant in spring for bloom in summer in northern areas. Add brilliance to garden edges, rock gardens, and cottage gardens. Trim after blooming for neatness, leaving a few to self-sow.
