Verbena 'Scentsation White'

Verbena hyb.
This new pristine white variety harkens to an earlier age, for in the early 1900s, flower seed catalogs listed "Giant Sweet Scented Verbena" with huge flower trusses. This new variety freely shares its sweet, light fragrance, especially in warm, humid summer air—an essential flower for a luminous evening moon garden.

PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
Sun-loving verbena is a long-blooming annual for containers and garden edging, the textured dark green leaves a handsome backdrop to the pristine white flower umbels of this fragrant variety. Deadhead or shear several times to encourage fresh branching and continued flowering. If growing in a container a flower fertilizer midseason will encourage heavy blooming.
Final Spacing:
1'
Water Requirements:
Medium Water Use
Watering Details:
Water regularly until established, about 1" of water per week. Though they tolerate short periods of drought, it may be at the expense of flowering.
Soil pH:
Slightly acid to alkaline
Fertilizer:
Fertilize with an organic, water-soluble fertilizer once per month.
Diseases & Pests:
Watch for thrips and spider mites, which stipple the leaves. Treat with insecticidal soap if these pests become a problem. Very late in the season powdery mildew may appear. Spray with organic fungicide to control.
