Night Phlox 'Midnight Candy'

Zaluzianskya capensis
One of the sweetest night-blooming flowers in your grandmother's garden! During the day, the clusters of closed flowers look like tiny drumsticks dipped in a dye pot of maroon. Then, at nightfall, a delectable light scent combining vanilla, marzipan, and honey radiates from the little open flowers. Hailing from South Africa, it is best when grown in a collection of clay pots in a warm, sheltered position where you can enjoy the aroma after dark.
