PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
Bupleurum is native to Europe, growing in wild places and gardens and gathering names such as Hare's Ear and Thorough-Wax along the way. Often grown in the cutting garden as a filler with long-lasting acid green blooms, it can also be sown directly into cottage gardens near the front of the bed, where its slender branches weave among brightly colored summer annuals. Provide fertile, well-drained soil. Self-sows.
Soil pH:
Not particular about pH levels
Fertilizer:
Mix in a few inches of compost prior to planting. If soil is poor, supplement with an organic granular fertilizer.
When to Cut for Bouquets:
Harvest when flowers are fully open.
