Anisodontea 'Strybing Beauty'

Anisodontea x hypomandarum
Also called cape mallow or African mallow, Anisodontea is a flowering machine that pops out a continuous supply of 2" wide pink flowers with magenta centers all season long. The fig-leaf leaves are healthy, grass-green, and arrayed along slim but sturdy stems that sway in the wind instead of breaking. It's a rarity that deserves to be better known and one of our favorites.

PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
A tender perennial for oversized pots and garden beds, Anisdontea hails from South Africa and is a member of the Hibiscus family (Malvaceae). This tender perennial deserves to be better known, for it grows quickly to blooming size, flowers week in and week out, and can be overwintered easily as cuttings or potted plants. Provide some afternoon shade and pinch for bushy plants and even more flowers, for it blooms on new growth.
