PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
Ammi visnaga is a beautiful addition to the middle to back of beds and borders. It is a sought after cut flower as well, valued as a lacy filler that enhances the focal flowers in a bouquet. Bees and beneficial insects will seek out Ammi 'Green Mist's' huge white lace-cap flowers as soon as they open from the lush, lime-green buds and sturdy stems. Caution: It is possible to develop a rash or blisters from the sap when cutting on a sunny day, gloves are recommended.
Watering Details:
1" a week, more during dry spells.
Fertilizer:
If soils are particularly poor, mix in an organic granular fertilizer once seedlings have reached 6-8" in height.
When to Cut for Bouquets:
Harvest for dry flowers in the morning when about 3/4 of the flowers have opened on a head. Air-dry for 14-21 days in a dry, dark location.
