Chrysanthemum coronarium, also known crown daisy, has a long and fascinating history. Native to the Mediterranean region and parts of Asia, they are grown for their potent medicinal qualities and nutrition-packed leaves. In ancient Greece, garland chrysanthemum was associated with the goddess Aphrodite and was used to make flowery crowns and garlands for celebrations. The creamy yellow flowers resemble miniature roses perched atop the vigorous growing plants, and their numbers only increase as the days shorten.
